I have been using lawn doctor for about 4 years or more and the change in my lawn has been remarkable for the better. My huge problem was creeping charlie taking over several areas of my lawn. Additionally, dead patches, dandelions and other basic weeds were prevalent and treated. My lawn is thicker and healthier than it has ever been. Any time I email Kim/Dan, I get a reply within same day or 24 hrs. I LOVE the regular emails explaining weather/seasonal issues re problems/suggestions/solutions for the lawn. The staff who provide the treatments are friendly. Communication is EXCELLENT & CONSISTENT through emails, texts, sticky notes and flags in the yard for all services. I would recommend Lawn Doctor of Batavia-Aurora to anyone without the time/knowledge to deal with a troubled lawn- and to maintain the lawn!!! ~ Carolyn E

We’ve have Used various lawn services throughout the years and also did our own fertilization and weed control. When we had a persistent lawn problem for years, we once again tried to find answers with lawn services. Most barely listened to what I tried to tell them and recommended services I had already done. Some wouldn’t even come out and wanted just pictures sent to them! Lawn Doctor came out the day after I called them, spent the time to listen to me, walk around the yard, actually look at surrounding yards and actually pumping my problem. He then gave me remedies, websites to further understand his findings and a plan to go forward. I can’t say enough good things about their services, but because of the attention they gave us, we now use their lawn care service and are thoroughly happy! ~ deb b

My neighbors yard always looked greener than mine so I ask the tech about the service and I haven’t regretted it, the service has given me one of the greenest and best looking lawn in the neighborhood when others lawn starts to change color due to the weather both summers and winters my lawn is always consistently greener if I see or have any concerns about weeds, spotting I have a direct connection and communication with my lawn service I’ve used several different lawn services and obviously had to change but I have found the right service to provide the beauty lawn I’ve always wanted 1 last thing they have never tried to over sell me on products and other services but have always instructed me on how to maintain my lawn for maximum greenage if that even a word I’m thankful and I’ve already signed up for another season ~ Dwight H

We are new homeowners on a tight budget and have been with Lawn Doctor Batavia-Aurora for about a year. Even with just the minimum basic services (honestly probably less than the min. recommended haha) it has still definitely been well worth it! Looking back I realized this first year we’ve been so busy just moving in and getting settled that the lawn was the last thing on our mind. I’m thankful we found a company to trust to help us take care of our lawn. They also send really informative emails that have helped teach us a lot. If you are on the fence about where to start with a company, or are tired of the one you have, maybe give lawn doctor a try. They seem to genuinely care about what they do and take the time to do their research and educate their customers, which helps us all work better together. ~ Melanie

Lawn Doctor is the best. My lawn was practically dirt 8 weeks before a graduation party in my back yard. Kim and Dan answered my call, assessed my lawn, educated me on maintenance to get grass in 6 weeks. Lawn Doctor had also added a mosquito service that is fantastic. Dan came out to spray for mosquitos and my yard was mosquito free- even after it rained. You have to try it for your back yard gatherings and bbq's. Kim and Dan care about your lawn and help educate you on how to keep it green. They will offer tools like hose timers to keep it green. Most services don't care because it keeps them in business. Lawn Doctor of Batavia/Aurora know you'll keep them in business because of customer service and results. ~ TJ M

Been using Lawn Doctor for five years. From day one they provided what I was looking for. The gentleman came over, looked at our lawn and explained the required work. Seeding was a chore, they do have an injection seeding machine and Guarantee grass will grow and it did. We’ve always had one of the best lines in the neighborhood no matter where we lived and I do appreciate the fact that they provided customer service for what we needed not just a blanket idea. Interestingly they’re willing to come out to your house and look at your mind the other for my use for over 20 years refused to even answer my phone call so obviously they got fired and I’m glad that that we switch the long doctor ~ Bob M

Kim and Dan are great business owners and always treat you right. They have a wealth of knowledge and can make even the worst lawns look like green carpet again! The rest of their crew does a great job as well. Never had a bad experience with them, and would recommend them to anyone that wants a nice healthy lawn. Thanks for the great service and I look forward to having Lawn Doctor continue to take care of my lawn in the future. UPDATE: After having a pool installed last summer, we had Lawn Doctor restore our lawn. Dan came up with a very specific plan to amend our soil and how to grade properly. Dan and his team had the whole yard done in a few hours. Within a couple weeks, we were already back to a green yard. Lawn Doctor of Batavia is the best lawn service I’ve used. I’ve been with them for 5+ years and have consistently been impressed with their commitment to serving their customers. I can’t stress enough the knowledge and trustworthiness of Kim and Dan Toth (owners). They’re awesome! Whether a phone call or visit, they will take the time needed to discuss your concerns and make honest recommendations. More than once, they’ve even given me DIY directions to address an issue myself. A few years ago I had Lawn Doctor reseed my front yard to address issues I had battled for years. After power seeding, they made repeated trips that fall and the next spring to ensure the results were as expected. I didn’t have to call or ask, they just showed up to check the progress. She is incredibly knowledgeable, as was her staff; they were spot-on in diagnosing our (many!) lawn care issues! Her newletters are very informative as well and help one to better understand the nature and cycle of lawns, as well as suggestions to keep one's lawn looking great in the interim! We have used Lawn Doctor for years for regular weed/feed/insect control. Due to a number of issues (erosion of soil, ground compaction, tree growth) our lawn was looking really weary. Lawn Doctor came out to aerate and power seed in early Spring. We did not see much growth after waiting a couple of weeks. I called them back and explained to them the lack of growth. They responded that they would ensure we get it going. Came out and redid everything including adding some topsoil at no cost to us. Grass is now looking great. Will continue to use them and recommend to everybody. Great people to do business with. ~ Ron B

My new lawn is AMAZING! A shout out to Dan, Doug, and the crew for the fantastic transformation they made in my yard. From start to finish, this team truly exceeded my expectations. Dan made several visits this summer to assess my damaged lawn and offer options. The crew performing the work was a “well-oiled machine”. When they accidentally hit an improperly buried irrigation line — not their fault —they quickly addressed and fixed the problem. My lawn was a horrible mess even though I had another lawn service at the time. I signed with Lawn Doctor when I saw how beautiful my neighbor's lawn looked. And I have been very pleased with how they rescued my lawn, so much so that I recommended them to my daughter as well. An added service they provide are their newsletters emailed to customers with advice on caring for their lawns and shrubs, and warnings of pests, fungus and the like throughout the seasons. No other lawn service has ever provided this type of continuous contact with their customers. ~ Billie J

I rarely post reviews but I sincerely have been utterly impressed with this company's service, response, knowledge, etc. since I hired them five years ago. The entire staff is friendly, and I can't reiterate, knowledgeable (I love reading their in-depth emails they send about lawn care). They genuinely care about their business and making sure their customers are informed. After reading their emails I realized I had been completely sabotaging my lawn (not realizing it) and the past years the yard has looked better than ever. I've been using Lawn Doctor for the past 3 years, and my lawn keeps getting better looking every season. The first year they came out, I didn't have a lawn, I had a giant patch of creeping Charlie. A few treatments later, no more creeping Charlie, and the lawn started to show signs of life. Also, after every treatment, I get an email of things they've noticed that could either be good or bad for my lawn. If I've ever been concerned about something, they come back out, and make sure things are taken care of. I would recommend them to everyone who takes pride in their lawn. ~ Eric H

We have used Lawn Doctor for at least a decade, and chose them because my previous lawn service used liquid fertilizer or some other liquid on the lawn and killed it. I preferred their use of solid granular fertilizer and grub prevention, and only using liquid weed killer where it was needed for specific weeds. I also appreciated the seeding method of inserting the seed directly into the ground rather than spreading it on the surface. Their method is like the method used by farmers to plant corn and other crops. I also appreciated the evaluation of the lawn when requested and their advice as to what it needed, the problems that may exist, and why some areas didn't seem to sustain the grass well. They were always helpful and when I thought that there was a problem, Dan or a technician would come out and take a look at the lawn. They let me know that they were coming, and were open to change in schedule in case my grandchildren were to come over and play in the lawn. Dean Arnold ~ Dean A

Lawn Doctor (run by Kim and Dan Toth) is a class operation. Our lawn had a lot of clover and creeping charlie almost 3 years ago. We started with Lawn Doctor in the fall the first year and had one treatment and the aeration done. Then the next summer we had the whole procedure done. Our friends and family were amazed with how great our lawn looked. We were amazed. The owners and their staff are great at communication. I used Lawn Doctor for the first time last year and couldn't be more happy. My lawn looks great and they take good care of it. Kim is great and always a great source of information. They are always on time and give you good tips on how to maintain your yard. Onetime during one of the application the technician accidentally broke our mailbox - we didnt even have to call anybody - they left a note and next day sent a repairperson who repaired our mailbox. Prior to using Lawn Doctor of Batavia, we were using another large competitor. My lawn would start out the season looking good and then progress to a patchy unhappy lawn. Our lawn looks better and better every year. We used to do our own fertilizer but could never achieve the results our neighbor got with Lawn Doctor. The first season we switched, we knew we wouldn't go back to doing it ourselves with bags from the hardware store. The staff is great and they always respond quickly if we call. I absolutely LOVE the Lawn Doctor of Batavia, IL! They made my previous lawn look great & have since TOTALLY transformed the lawn at my new residence! It was a complete mess when we moved in but the grass is so much thicker & greener PLUS is now 100% WEED FREE!!! (The lawn was more weeds than grass. Ugh!)
